![]() KIIBOOM PHANTOM 81 DESIGNīesides being both fascinating and divisive, its transparent design also comes with bright, colourful RGB to boot. However, its transparent design is still needed to talk about. I can say It’s one of the best wireless keyboards around. It has switches that are pre-lubed for extra fluidity, having gorgeously smooth-yet-crisp linear-style with a rock solid build quality. Then I tried the Phantom 81, costing $159/£128, with just the difference of night and day. One important lesson that the KiiBOOM Phantom 81 has taught me is that all mechanical keyboards are not the same.Īlthough I haven’t truly delved deep into the variety of switches that are available outside of the clicky Logitech MX Mechanical along with heavier, quieter Vissles V84, I still gained some knowledge of the industry. It’s transparent RGB-laden aesthetic not for everyone. It has eye-catching and see-through design.the KiiBOOM Phantom 81 keyboard is easily the best typing experience I have had over the past few years ADVANTAGES But with an RGB-laden transparent design and a permanent tilt, it will not be for everyone. In fact, they are quite likely to get players into trouble by attempting to use them. With a premium build quality and gorgeous switches, the KiiBOOM Phantom 81 keyboard is easily the best typing experience I have had over the past few years. So while Kii's torpedoes are nice to have, they're not the reliable trump card they were on Tirpitz. With Kii's poor protection scheme and sluggish manoeuvrability, this can often leave her over angled and exposed before she can recover which invites massive citadel hits. She can only engage targets ahead of her 40º off her bow. They have a rear bias as you might expect for weapons mounted on the stern. This is two full seconds extra reaction time over Tirpitz's torpedoes.įinally, the firing arcs on her torpedoes aren't great. Third, the torpedoes have an enormous detection range of 1.6km, providing enemies with nearly 10 seconds of reaction time to dodge them. Enemy battleships can (and will) survive getting struck by all three torpedoes far more regularly. At 14,600 damage per fish, this isn't like a broadside from Tirpitz which all but guarantees a catastrophic end for the ship on the receiving end. Second, Kii is limited to a pair of triple launchers. This isn't so bad, but it would have been nice if her secondaries were beefier to make wandering into this range more palatable. Like all battleship mounted torpedoes currently in the game (except Mutsu, cause she's special - thanks Zim!), they only have a 6km range, limiting their use to point-blank engagements. Her secondaries and AA suite are fully modernized, however her armour, torpedo armament and torpedo protection are reminiscent of something from the 1920s. ![]() Instead of the old stock version of the Amagi's hull, Kii represents a weird hodgepodge of classic and modernized traits found on Japanese battleships. Battleship Kii isn't quite what I had envisioned. It cannot be purchased after the fact for doubloons.Įver since battleship Mutsu was released in February of 2017, I've been expecting an Amagi styled premium to be introduced to World of Warships. Makoto Kobayashi - Kii camouflage is only available in larger bundles. Torpedo armament has poor firing angles, doesn't hit hard and provides enemies with a long reaction time.Ĭlumsy handling, with a large 880m turning circle and slow rate of turn.Įnormous surface and aerial detection range. Horrible armour, bad torpedo protection and a large, exposed citadelĭispersion often feels wonky with a 1.7 sigma value.
